I didn't want to highjack the earlier thread about adding pics to the Water Towers but I'm curious how these water towers function. I'm guessing but I suspect they store water which is used to supplement the water pressure. I would think that pumps would be more effective for this purpose. Does anyone really know how water towers function in TV and why they're only in some areas of TV?

It doesn't matter. We don't have anything to say about whether it is pumps or towers. We can't change them from tower to pumps even if the evidence was convincing that pumps are better which does not seem to be the case.

I am one that doesn't care. The water bill is MUCH lower than up North.

Plus most water towers now have cell phone antennas on them and thus eliminating the need for stand alone cell phone towers.
