One third of San Fransisco's city workers make over $100,00 and the average is $93,000.
One third of so-called Stimulus money went to public employees to prevent layoffs.

This is all democrats spending. This should be driven home for the November elections. With around 30 million Americans not working, is it fair to keep these over-paid people employed with deficit money?

Thanks for the link.

I knew the "stimulus" bill was laden with nothing but pet projects, but was not aware that ONE THIRD OF ALL OF IT was aimed at saving public sector jobs.

Well, they paid for it with the political contributions....guess they "deserved" it !!

But no worry..as we are all told...despite the evidence this administration is NOT about nothing but bigger government.

Wonder if these folks are getting close to what our President considers "enough money" ?

The SEIU executive vice president (who is also co chair of the Democratic Socialists of America) made $242,286 and the Secy Treasurer, Anna Burger made $252,724 !

Bucco, Andy Stern made a surprise announce that blindsided many of his supporters a couple of weeks ago that he is stepping down as the head of the SEIU immediately. Of course he keeps his life-time retirement benefits. And he said he'll keep his appointment by Obama on the Economic Recovery Advisory counsel or whatever it was that Obama appointed him to serve on. Anna Burger was running for the seat, but also stopped campaigning in the middle of her run. That leaves Mary Kay Henry. Makes you wonder what is going on doesn't it. Could be that Stern and his, as he refers to Burger and Henry, "lifelone partners" for the Progressive cause, have nearly bankrupt the pensions and retirements of the union workers they represent. They say Burger was too closely associated with Stern to keep the union's support so Henry, who worked on the healthcare reform bill, has stepped in.

Must see Saturday Night Live Public Employees in Awards-Show Spoof. (You have to watch the commercial before the video starts.)

"In these times of anti-tax hysteria and threats of government of budget cuts, it's important to remember that people with government jobs are just like workers everwhere, except for the lifetime job security, guaranteed annual raises, early retirement on generous pensions, and full medical coverage with no deductibles, office visit fees, or copayments."
