magnolia tree experts ?

Smalldog Asks does anyone know why some magnolia trees bloom like crazy and others have 1 or two blooms ...... are there so many different varieties in use here :ohdear:...... and why are the magnolia trees here loosing so many leaves :shocked:........ it doesn't seem that it should be for lack of fertilizer and water or tender loving care :confused:

My magnolia tree is looking real puny. I think it got way tooooo cold this winter. I think it likes to be fertilized with a different kind than the Rapidgro I use on everything else. PH....something.
