Genetic testing is on the rise in part because some Medicare plans pay for these tests. Curious if anyone who has had the test has any feedback regarding benefits of knowing what medications will result in improving outcomes or avoiding adverse reactions.

Note : Pharmacogenomics Testing in short is a panel that looks at over 280 drugs across 44 genes to potentially identify a positive result for a specific medication or the risk of an adverse reaction to that drug.

Thanks in advance !

A family member had the test to ensure he was on the right antidepressant. His script was hanged based on the test results with a positive outcome.
