Would people please share their recent rehab stories. I am trying to find the best facility to put my mother in law in. She was visiting us from NY and fell and broke her leg. She has received fabulous care at Ocala Regional and now needs to go to a rehab facility. I would greatly appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Freedom Pointe and The Club Rehab are both good places in The Villages.

Do you have experience with either of those, especially the latter?

My mother was at Lady Lake. I would NOT recommend it.

Based on a doctors advice, one of my mom went to Villages Rehab, as opposed to others mentioned on this site.

I recently visited a friend at Freedom Pointe rehab, and I thought it was very nice and efficient. However, my friend said that The Club was an even better place to be for rehab. When you need rehab, you don't always have a choice.

I was in Freedom Point last year while rehabbing from hip surgery. I thought it was good, clean and PT people were good. Food was not too bad either. I thought they tried hard to make it as pleasant as possible.

Thank you to those that answered. Does Freedom Point have private rooms?

I assume that the choice of facility might depend on the particular type of Medicare insurance a person had.

I was at The Club when it was new. At that time, it was nice, and the rehab great. However, pain meds could arrive up to four hours late, during one particular nurse's shift. Management did nothing to help, so my personal doctor checked me out after only 10 days.
