We have been in our new to us house now for a little over a month. We would like to have a ceiling fan installed in our kitchen and in the master bath. We had these in our previous home and are missing them. They do not need a wall switch to operate, a pull chain is sufficient. Can anyone suggest an electrician who could do this work properly for a reasonable price?

It seems unusual that someone would want ceiling fans in the kitchen and bathroom. Are you sure the ceilings are high enough? These rooms often need exhaust fans, not ceiling fans. But, if you want ceiling fans, Dan's Fan City is a good place. They may not be the least expensive place, but you can buy a fan and they will deliver and install it in a few days. Very easy.

What is strange to some might be common to others. Last two houses we lived in had them and we like them. I think that is reason enough for me.

This company installed a large pendant light for me and I am pleased with their work and in the future if I needed an electrician, I would call them again.

I can tell you from years of experience, two of the places I would never ever be without a fan is in the bathroom and kitchen!
If a house does not some type of volume ceiling, a "ceiling hugger" fan which does not require a downrod, will always work.

You didn't mention if you own the fans you want installed or need to buy them first. You're are only about ten miles from the largest independent fan store in America. Dan's Fan City in Leesburg on 441/27, 1712 N. Citrus Blvd. Leesburg, FL 32748 Phone: 352-326-9018. I think the last advertisement I read was if you spent $300 they installed them free, or something like that.

I recently bought a fan from Dan's, and they installed it for free. I didn't like it, so they replaced it with another fan, and they installed the second one for free also. At that time, the policy was to spend $200 on a fan to get free installation. I recommend them.

I would love to see pictures of your fans. We still have our white ones.

The ceilings are 10 feet so ceiling height is not a problem.

What is the reasonable/common fee (such as from a handyman in the classifies ?) for installing a fan where all the wiring exists from a previous fan ? Also, anyone know the reasonable/average to have a wall TV mounted (bedroom, smaller maybe 25-30#) Wall IS already prepared with the "deadwood" behind drywall. Walmart charges $79 to put up the wall mount and affix the TV, but, you have to buy them there. I need to find someone who will install previously purchased items on a bedroom wall.

We have used Dave Castle, a handyman who is a Villages resident, for some small jobs like that. He is reasonable and does great work - 352-504-5662

I like Hunter fans, they have a lifetime guarantee. They carry them at
Home Depot, and they do have installers if you need them. I have installed ceiling fans myself, it's actually simple to do. Just make sure the power is OFF at the breaker before you do it!

We've used then for a number of things including our bathroom fan. Very happy with their work.
