I think the above is correct. I think 45 degrees is the cold weather cut off rule, and lightning is a definite. I think they have to wait for 30 minutes without hearing any thunder after a lightning strike before they can resume. Checking the town square web camera is a good suggestion.

The Villages Sun Mobile App gives notification way before the Normal Start time at each Square. You have to sign up and enable Push Notifications. Very helpful when the call is Marginal. Good Luck.

You can also call the entertainment office around 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. They will tell you what's happening.
