All I can say is wow!! Looked at Life Alert for my parents (see previous post) and compared with local companies. Smith & Wesson Security Services in Clermont is head and shoulders above the rest. They installed my parents system this morning at 9:00am sharp. Not only did my dad get the panic button he aslo went for the smoke detector. Smith & Wesson then "threw in" the security system for no charge!. They put contacts on 3 doors, gave a motion detector, 2 panic buttons and a smoke detector all installed for less then the basic life alert system. The control panel even talks to them when there is a problem, all for less then 35 bucks a month!

That's wonderful! I hope they NEVER need to use this system... ;)

A job well done Security Guy!

When my next door neighbor had a very serious problem and had a hard time getting to a phone, he signed up for PAL (Personal Alert Link) after he got out of the hospital. We are his back-up. When he was in the yard doing some weeding one day, he accidentally pressed the button on the Link around his neck. PAL called us to see if we knew what was wrong. By the time we went out to check, the paramedics were already there. He also told me that one night when he was sleeping he accidentally pressed the button. The speaker woke him up and he was able to tell them that he was coherent and it was a mistake.

I would recommend PAL if you are interested. The number is 1-800-881-8746 extension 0179. Or www.palbutton,com. He pays $35 a month. If you want to talk to him, PM me for his number.
