I can't find in the site rules, But I was told "posts must be helpful" or they will be removed.
Is this true???
Do we report posts as not helpful??
Clarification is appreciated.

Maybe “helpful” is in the eye of the beholder.

Go to the HOME tab, left side bar, click on site guidelines. There are 'moderators' that look at the posts and determine if a post should be removed or moved to another location. You usually get an e-mail telling you what was done and why.

I think your posts are very helpful ... they make me laugh or scratch my head in puzzlement!

I'm going for a laugh :1rotfl: but sometimes or many times fall woefully short. The great thing is I don't find my self on the defense constantly lately. I likes it! :blahblahblah:
I can't type fast enough to keep up with my thoughts.
You know that thing Grammarly? The assistant that's free that helps correct mistakes. The best thing that ever happened or you would have your decoder ring on all day.

Seinfeld could make a show about that.

I know, but posts have been removed that here deemed not useful and there is nothing on site guidelines. Jus Say'n.
I enjoy the humor-posts on this site, and they are not Helpful (I ways think humor is helpful).

My favorite message is "Chiefs Planet", I've been a member since the beginning which was 2000. I'm not really a Kansas City Chiefs fan, but I do like them, especially now with their young quarterback Patrick Mahomes. What really attracts me is they dont' talk about football all that much. The moderators let everything go, profanity, nude photos, you name it, the only thing that is moved is political. They have a forum for that and it's usually just moved to that section.
Since most of the people on that board are half my age, what I really like is I learn about movies, music, cars, TV shows, all the stuff guys like and at our age, don't really get to discuss or find out about. I've never had a post moved over there. There was a big thread last month with Kaepernick told Nike he didn't like the US Flag Shoes they were going to release and Nike pulled the shoes. Naturally there was a lot of debate and nobody had a post removed. Other than that, there's a lot give-and-take, but I enjoy that board.

Posts that are off topic or in some way criticize the topic posted by the OP are samples of things that aren't helpful. It's another way of saying "off topic".
Obviously, if we deleted every off topic post it would be a lot of extra work. Posts that don't add value to the discussion, are talking more about the person posting than the topic, or intentionally derail a discussion (among other reasons) will be removed. We all enjoy a little humor, but, not at the expense of someone else.
One rule that is clearly stated and that we do enforce routinely is a prohibition against publicly discussing moderator actions, which this thread falls into. If you have a question or issue, contact us or report a post that concerns you. We do our best to communicate the reason for our actions.
Just know that our main goal is to keep discussions civil and interesting, within the site guidelines.
With that, thread closed.
