What is considered solid waste in a residential setting?
That all depends on what is consumed the night before....

That's an extra $1.48 per month for the first year, and (I didn't try to actually do the math, this is off the top of my head based on the 2.5% mentioned) around 35 cents per month on top of that for year 2, then another additional 35 cents per month for year 3, and so on for a total of 10 years including the first $1.48. So, at the end of the 10th year, you will be paying $5 per month more than you were this year.
I'm not seeing much of a problem here.

:read: Rate for Garbage pick-up in The North Sumter County Utility Dependent District will be going from the present $17.90 a month to approx. $23.60 over the next 9 Fiscal Years. 9 yearly increases. The 1st. 8.25% and the next 8 yearly increases at 2.5% each. :ho:

:icon_wink: I don't think they provide solid waste sanitation services to the area where you own.

We pay $76 every two months for once weekly pickup where I currently live. Trash pickup in The Villages sounds like a bargain to me.

Ours are built in to our property taxes, which are insanely high but pretty much expected for our state - especially considering the "amenities" that are included in the tax payments.

I pay for trash pickup for 7 months with no trash to pickup.

When you are encouraged to attend a special meeting because important decisions about trash collection it means only one thing-rates are going up and you don’t have anything to say about it.
