Back in 2004-ish there used to be two DQ...one on 441 and one on 466 (I think). Then for some reason both closed down.
The closest one now is at The Pilot gas station on SR 484 at the entrance/exit to I-75.
When we have the hankering for one we go on a short road trip and get our DQ fix.
One would think a DQ would do well in TV!!!
Other opinions?

They both closed due to very poor management from what I heard.

I contacted Dairy Queen and asked the same question. They told me that all Dairy Queen restaurants are franchises. They asked me if I wanted to open one.

I agree. A Dairy Queen would be a big hit here. Right along 466a at Trailwinds. In between Burger King & Wendy's.

The trick would be to find a good team for your employees.

:icon_wink: The one on 466 ( where Culvers is) and the one on 441 ( where Dunkin Donuts is ) both suffered from a lack of customers. That is why they closed.
Note: I did my part trying to keep them both open!
Also when WAWA opens across the street from Dunkin Donuts..... you may be able to pickup DD real cheap and open a DQ. :1rotfl:

Dats correct. Everyone from these here parts are gonna drop DD'S like a bad habit. They have been declining for some time now. The place is filthy. I was a Dunkin Donut's Fan my entire life but would love a Dairy Queen in that area.
I am a big Culvers Fan (Have I mentioned that before?) but wouldn't mind staying local for Great Ice Cream. I also like that place Kilwins on Main St in Spanish Springs.
I hereby swear I'll help keep DQ open. :coolsmiley: I'm a Team Player!

THIS subject has come up various time in our 10 yrs here. IF someone wanted to buy the franchise, I'd guess one would come in. As others said...many have gone out of business elsewhere.

The last time I went to a DQ was almost 60 years ago. Today I go to a Golden Spoon near me for yogurt. DQ is like Kraft brands, Jello and Velveeta (yuk!) dying out as tastes change.

They both opened without proper training. The service was poor and it drove customers away.

I looked up the DQ on I75/484 and it has 6 Google reviews - all gave it one star out of five.

Those was old ran down Dairy Queen’s, the new redone’s are tip top. And would complete very well with what’s offered around here.

It’s only ice cream and hot dogs. I was disappointed also. Ice cream good, can’t comment on the hot dogs.
