Hold your hand on the surface for 5 seconds.

if you can’t do it or it’s uncomfortable then it’s not safe to walk your pup!
It's a no-brainer.

Great advice. I tried passing along similar info about a month ago to our loop group email but the moderator refused to forward it on for fear of offending his friends (actually the idiots walking their dogs on hot asphalt and concrete).
