Has anyone installed a pocket door in a courtyard villa in the living room, so you would have access to the guest bathroom without going through the guest bedroom?

You must have the 2BR CYV with the eat-in kitchen. The 2BR 2BA with the 10' bar called the Durham and previously the Woodlawn has exactly that arrangement. Here's the plan, maybe you can get a contractor to configure your unit. When we have guests, they just slide the pocket-door close and then it reverts to an en suite.

My bonifay courtyard villa has that feature. Also there is another pocket door at the laundry room.

The villa I am looking at has the guest bathroom in the guest bedroom.. so you must go into that room to use the bathroom.. my thought was if I could put a pocket door in the living room/dining room ... the other side would be the wall of the bathroom that has the towel rack... could that work?? Just relocate the towels..

That may be costly to do. Consider buying a home that has that feature.

We had the same issue in our Gardenia. That side of the house has a bedroom, a bathroom and a den. The original owner did not have a pocket door put in. We talked to a few people and they told us how big of a project it would be to put in a pocket door (demo, dust, metal studs, etc) We went to Romac in Leesburg and checked out their barn door displays. They also have contractors that they recommend. All you have to do is choose the style of door, the header rail style and the handle. It works great for us.

We have a Gardenia that has a pocket door on the guest side. There is not a door in our master bath close off from the master bedroom.
I am going to Romac. I want a door in the master bath
Thank you.

Keep in mind that if you have a door that is 36" wide, you will need an opening that is over 6 feet wide. That may prove to be problematic.
