Just received the following email from VCDD for a boil water notice on Arabella Loop in The Village of Amelia. Thought I'd post just in case anyone affected is not aware.

Subject: Precautionary Boil Water Notices - North Sumter Utility
Date: 6/12/2010

Dear Utility Customer:

Precautionary Boil Water Notice

To residents of 251-311 and 250-294 Arbella Loop in the Village of Amelia

A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued in the North Sumter Utility Service Area (NSU) due to a 4" water main break for the above referenced addresses.

Therefore as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, cooking, and washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. For all other household uses the water is acceptable.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological test shows that the water is safe.

If you have any questions, you may contact the Water Plant Operator at 352-753-1758 or Utility Customer Service at 352-750-0000, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm."
