Wanted to fill up with gas because "you are supposed to" when a hurricane is coming and all the "local" stations were pretty bad at ~1:30PM. Horns honking, people cutting in, terrible entry/exit because it was blocked and no "real lines" except on the street because people were coming in through multiple entrances so we decided to go for a short ride. Went down 466A took a right on 301 and a mile or so before 466 there was 1 station that was virtually "drive up and fill up" which we did. Then took a right on 466 to head home and saw WAWA packed on the opposite side of 301 with lines down the road but the 2 stations right off 301 on 466 were virtually "drive right in." Yes, they were pumping gas. Once we hit the 2 stations by Publix on 466 it was back to Villages Crazy again. Bottom line is if you want gas with less hassle go away from the "in town madness" stations by a couple miles to fill up with less chance of getting shot by a crazy with a gun. :) I'm sure it will get worse tomorrow but it was much less hassle today.

Why do Villagers need gas? Where are you going?

We’re not going anywhere, but on the odd chance that we lose power, we’re going to hop in the car every once in awhile and turn the a/c on high!

Why do Villagers need gas? Where are you going?

Perhaps a shelter if folks in the manufactured homes are told to evacuate. Or maybe to a son or daughter's house? Or to help those in need after the storm passes!

Driving by the Mini Walmart near Colony Plaza this morning total chaos... Those who were in line looked bewildered nothing was organized... The time? 6:50 AM yes 6:50 AM. That is a reality check on the mindset of what is going on

If you own a generator, you fill all the gas tanks and cans you can in case power goes out. If power is out, all the gas stations will not be able to pump any

Filled up at the Marathon at Pinellas Plaza on 466a, they had a sign on the pump saying they were out of the 87 & 89 grade and only had the premium (for 60 cents more) funny thing happened when I pushed the 87 octane button, it worked! Go figure, I guess they wanted to save their supply till they could raise the price.

It's always better to have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it.

Agree 110%. And why does your golf cart need to be full? After IRMA when everything was nice and sunny gas was hard to come by for a while (especially on 441 because there was no power for a week) because it was being sent down to S. FL where "it was needed most."

I topped off at the Shell station on Bella Cruz and 441 about 4:30. No waiting.

I just heard an official on television say one of the things to do was go to a gas station and top of your tank. Why do that if you had no plans to leave and you already had a half to a two thirds of a tank of gas? The news station also showed the gas stations around Miami and Orlando that were closed and out of gas. There could be a good reason to top off your gas tank if you were leaving in the morning but this certainly wouldn’t be a retiree who wasn’t. Leave the gas for working people and for those that need it.

Ho-Hum Yawn..... Rewind every time same playback...... the same scenario every single time. It really is boring the local TV Stations compete with the most up to date forecast etc. With the " Drama "

Every 2-3 years the same thing Drama, Frenzy, Water, Stock Up, Suggestions, It really is borderline comical the way the local TV Meteorologist present the forecast.

Like they in some cases they are on the " Apprentice".

Look Chill Out, by Friday this will be .................................................. ..AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. ........OOOOOOOOOOOOO Ver

Good Night

PS: Our upcoming 3rd Hurricane ...... Yawn
