Can anyone recommend an Endodontist for a root canal that is in The Villages Healthcare, United Healthcare system?:pray:

There should be an 800 # on your insurance card. Call them and ask for names. But, it is very unusual for medical insurance to cover dental needs, except maybe a low cost routine visit as part of an Advantage plan. That's why dental insurance exists. If perchance your particular policy does cover a root canal, come back with names and ask for opinions on those names given or search for them via the search function.

I guess I wasn't clear that I was looking for an endodontist reference that someone has gone to and was professionally satisfied.

I personally have not used this endodonist however a close friend has. Dr Ghazal has been highly recommended by my general dentist. Dr Ghazal I believe has an office in laurel manor. I know I am sounding very vague but since I am currently traveling I don’t have specifics at hand.

I have personally seen Dr. Ghazal recently. He is wonderful. He is very straightforward and, sadly, in my case told me it would be a waste of money to do a root canal. He told me that he could do a root canal, but that it would most likely be a temporary fix and that I'd end up losing the tooth. He took several x-rays and did a thorough exam before rendering his decision. In addition, he's extremely personable and his office staff is delightful. I'd go back to him in a heartbeat if I was in need of a root canal.

Dr. Ghazal did a root canal for me this spring. Very satisfied. Took less than a half hour.
