Team Europe Wins Solheim Cup. Suzann Pettersen Retires

In what was probably the most exciting finish in Solheim Cup history, Team Europe defeated Team USA 14 1/2 to13 1/2 to win the 2019 Solheim Cup.

After the completion of the match, Suzann Pettersen announced her retirement from professional golf.

It's the kind of story that would be called "too hokey"...if it were a movie.

The European captain was criticized for changing her mind about having Suzann Pettersen as a co-captain, and then instead...made her a team member.

For Suzann to make that intensely pressure-packed putt, to win the cup and then announce she would retire because nothing could ever top that moment...was simply awesome!

It was the most dramatic 30-45 minutes of golf...I've ever seen. :thumbup:

Europe earned the cup.
