Apple released the software update for their iPhone today. I installed the update on an iPhone 6s, which is the oldest model eligible for this update. Installation was successful and apps now load significantly faster than ever.

Are you noticing any bugs or weird behavior? The web site Redmond Pie suggested holding off until 13.1 because of the numerous bugs.

Not so far. Most if not all IT people will suggest waiting several weeks or at least until dot one is released. But I’ve gotten inpatient in my old age. I rely more on my iPad than my iPhone. So as long as my iPhone makes and receives calls, and the GPS functions on the phone, I’m fine.

Impatient? Try running developer Betas!
My wife thinks I am crazy (probably right) I run the betas as soon as they are available to developers.
The iOS 13 betas were pretty turbulent as Apple Betas go, but they have c calmed down and work well lately.
iOS 13 has some nice features upgrades and additions. I think the main focus is security.

Agree! There are always bugs in a major release which are corrected with an update within 30 days.

Apple announced iOS 13.1 will be released Tuesday, 9/24. That has to be a record.

iOS 13.1.2 is available to download and install on my iPhone 6S and my iPad (5th Gen) today, 3 Oct. I was holding off to see if anyone had turned up any hair-raising horror stories before I did it. Going on a trip soon and don't look forward to either of them crunching themselves to death right now.

Thanks @playgolf06. Wife and I installed the 13.1.2 this morning on our iPads - took about 45 minutes for download and install but it went very smoothly. Our iPads are working fine with no weird things happening. A few changes in looks for some items but nothing locking up. We're doing the iPhones (6S) now; they are taking much longer to download. So far, we've been in the download process for about 90 minutes but almost to the version confirmation and installation phase.
I think people can safely download/install the 13.1.2 but if on your iPhone, be prepared for a rather lengthy process; just part of the fun. :)

At the iPad users group meeting Tuesday, the leaders recommended installing it. They explained some of the late, great updates. Mine is working fine. It’s a pretty robust update.

IOS 13.1.2 downloaded and I note that it "breaks" apple carplay. Before update no problem running maps, streaming, etc. Now repeated crashes. Checked some other forums and other people having same problem, frustrating as advice is to call car dealer (waste of time), and boot, reboot, new cables etc. Just have to wait for next update.
