A buddy of mine was a POW, rats helped him to survive--
We went to Napolino's for the first time. Had not been at Chef's of Napoli. Kameron was an excellent server and a very well raised and bright young man. The Chicken Piccata was well presented and the sauce delicious even if the chicken was a little tough. It is hard to balance enough sauce with pasta when you serve Piccata, this was not quite enough. Daughter and Husband chose other entrees and we sat by the front windows that had some sort of sun/heat cover scotch taped to them. Will go back. Henry had Yeungling, Helene had coke, and I had water. I don't drink liquor.
I think we like it as well as Sammy's across the street. I do like ambiance and pretty and not many restaurants have that to offer here. They are worn and shoddy looking, most of them. I don't like the new décor at Legends as well as I liked the traditional, southern, classic.
I like good food and I love when it is served in a beautiful place too. Like The Greenbriar.

We haven't been since the new name etc. BUT will say that the times we did eat there, the food was good. BOTH of us could find something to fit our taste and needs. Thanks for the good report---we'll have to try it again.

One of our favorite places. Great Italian food and their daily specials are terrific.

We went a few times before the name change. We actually got lost when we were new and twice we found ourselves at their doorstep. I liked it a lot. We will give it another shot. Thanks to everyone for reminding us about this place. I trust everyone who gave a good review.
We've been getting Dinner at WaWa's since they opened. :1rotfl::1rotfl: We, (Mrs. Nucky) mentioned a change would be nice. Maybe Napolinos tonight??

NYPD is our go to place for good Italian food. I've never cared for any formal style sit down restaurants.

Beautifully and elegantly stated. Mrs. Belcher my senior journalism teacher would have found you scintillating.

I also like Olive Garden. We go for the early bird and the bill is less than a Wendy's meal. Not too shabby for the price. Drek perhaps? Who cares, I like it.

Can I invite you over to enjoy my wife's daily drek? You and the misses are invited. Please bring a bottle of Petrus, we've ran short.
This post may not have met the literary high bar, it's all I got. Lol [emoji23]

Will not go into background details but a close friend who owned
large restaurant/Club gave me a simple menu for pasta sauce that is a great Italian sauce (1) finely cut 2/3rd of onion fried for a short time in small amount of olive oil, (2) all of a can of "Cento" crushed tomatoes, (3) add a little garlic salt. Cooked to your level of thickness. It is simple, takes 10-20 minutes and it is like being in Italy, You could add basil but it is not necessary. This sauce does not contain any chemicals, or other additives and is real Italian and cost less than the expensive brands with all of their additives that are to preserve and protect.:ho:

Isn't it wonderful to be from New York and an added star if you lived or worked in Manhattan. We had and have a great life.
We say "Coffee" like it should be said and lo to those who mock us.:a040:

Napolino's, (formerly Chef's of Napoli) is one of the better Italian restaurants in the area. IMHO
I plan to go there for a birthday celebration as I love their pescatore. Their bread is deliciious and many people order it to take out.
FWIW - My mother was Italian.

We haven’t been there since the new name and management. From reviews it sounds like we should give it a go. When it comes to food, it’s different strokes for different folks.

My two cents - basil plants are almost always available at Publix. They are inexpensive. Here they grow like weeds. Fresh basil is glorious on many Italian dishes. Just cut a few leaves off and you are in business.
