Is there any place in The Villages (or out) where my Chesapeake Bay Retriever can swim safely? Obviously any ponds or lakes around could have alligators.

If you have a friend who has a pool is the only choice.

We had to take our Labrador retriever to a dog beach south of St. Petersburg called Ft. DeSoto. It’s the closest one we could find, and our dog loved it.

I could not imagine what is growing in that water with all of the dry hot weather we have had lately.

It's artificial, filtered and cleaned. Have you been there?
