You might want to try a private home, for reasonable care, with a better ratio

My mother in law was at Mission Oaks (route 301 south of 466) for around 2 years, were reasonable, adequate care, pleasant staff, activities for the dementia unit may have been a little restricted, but that might be the nature of that type of care.

When one states "reasonable" is there a number they have in mind?

It is a very, VERY subjective, relative term.

My guess most in or around TV are "reasonably" close in price.

Jessica, my wife lives in Trinity Springs in Oxford. It is brand new, prices are reasonable (lower than others we investigated) for Assisted Living and she loves it there.

One thing I learned is because there are so many facilities now that everything is negotiable.

It really depends on who might be the resident. I researched many when looking to move my then 92 year old mother closer to me. That was 4 years ago. I made surprise visits to many. She wasn’t accustomed to needing gyms, chandeliers, on-site gyms. I’m sure you are getting the picture. She needed good care, good food, and caring, stable staff.
My mom passed away a little shy of her 96th birthday, this past July. I can tell you that the care she received, both my the staff and in- the Hospice Team was more than I could ever have asked for, or expected.
Just be cautious. If you would like to talk to me about my selection, Mission Oaks, my phone is 352-603-6360.

I recommend Summerfield Suites, as a loved one is now part of this facility. Can not quote rates, but think you would be pleasantly surprised. Contact Tammy Shelnut Marketing Director at 352-307-0222.

My Dad has been there for a year and is content. I think it is a very good facility and well worth the money. The staff is proactive, there are activities. The food is still good with a good variety of meals. I visit about every 6 weeks. Dad's former neighbors still come visit and he still has golf cart (seldom uses it). A safe environment until we need memory care.
