Looking for any info on installing Solar Tube in garage. How much light would the larger 14' tube give centered in garage as opposed to putting in windows in garage door.

Solar tubes provide a brighter spot of light, the door will light more of the garage.

Another option if possible could be to to add a window to a side wall. I added a 74” X 24” horizontal sliding window with the bottom edge about 5 ft off the floor (a transom, more or less, that opens from side to side) and like it a lot.

Some additional ceiling lights will be much less expensive, and these are easily controlled.

We put one in near our washer and dryer and it is fantastic.

As you exit out to the garage is an excellent place for a solar tube. Provides light coming and going.
