As anyone ever made a change in the middle of building their house? I am second guessing myself about not getting Corian or granite for our kitchen. :undecided: BTW, the house is not close to being ready for anything in the kitchen yet. We just got walls.

When I was building back in 2001, there was a pretty stiff fine for anything I changed after the final papers were signed. If you have the walls, they might have already ordered the Corian or granite tops.
You might want to check and see if the fine is big enough to have them finish the job and then redo the counters.

I think our realtor said something about $250 per change. That's not too bad if I knew the cost to upgrade to Corian. We might be able to absorb the fine but good point to maybe just wait and get it done later. Thanks!

Last year when our hpuse was being built we asked about changing the outside color. We offered to pay whatever fee was involved. We got a flat out no way. You'll get what you signed for. At the time the house was not even close to painting stage.

We replaced our old counter tops with Corian in May.
Estimated cost by $3300.00 The work was done by a certified Corian supplier.
