Peggy West stated that Arizona is a state removed from the US/Mexican border! Huh? Did I miss something? Oh... did I mention Peggy West is a Democrat? Her party must be so proud. Back in the early, mid 60's the Democratic party was in fact a party that was diverse and a party that cared. I left that party in the early 70's because of what they were turning into.

They have completely gone the other way. They are now controlled totally....the groups that vote Democratic will support anything that they are TOLD to support. They now appeal only to the entitlement group which by the way is huge in this country.

Believe it or not, with all its faults and they have many, the Republican party has become the party of different ideas within the party.

I agree... the Democratic Party of this century is not the Democratic Party of the 60's, back when JFK was president. They ruling Dems have turned into control freaks. You either vote Democratic if you want the government to run your life; tell you what, when, and how much you are allowed to do, or you just aren't that intelligent, which, if that's the case that you need to be told all that, you really don't need to be that intelligent. Or, you want the government to take care of everything such as housing, income, and insurance. I frankly don't understand why Democrates are so much against being your own person, working hard and reaping the benefits of that hard work, being in control of your own destiny. Why does the government have to infringe on that?

Thanks for reminding me. What is frightening to me is that people like this can and do get elected. Can you imagine if Lauren Upton, the contestant for Miss Teen 2007 from South Carolina running for a public office now that she is of age and getting elected! Seems like she has all the qualities necessary for public office.

I had a chance to see Ms. Upton on the last season of The Amazing Race. She's well aware of her brain fart and almost makes light of it. Over the course of the weeks of the Race, she showed her true colors.

1) She's not as stupid as she was in that contest.

2) She won't qualify for MENSA, either. Not by a long shot.
