Why don't you just go to the bank to exchange USD for Euros?

Never never exchange any currency at an airport!!
They are Robber Barons. Worse exchange rates going.
Look online for best deals.

I think it’s nice to ask. Sometimes folks want to get rid of them, so it’s mutually beneficial.

Use your ATM card to make a withdrawal from a bank ATM. It's almost always the least expensive way to get local currency. One caveat; check your banks withdrawal fees. ATM Tips: Using Cash Machines in Europe by Rick Steves (https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/money/cash-machine-atm-tips)

There are always fees involved in exchanging currency including banks and ATMs... worst at the airports... it's best to have some euros when you arrive, for taxis etc.... and depending on when you arrive those services might be closed... some travelers are happy to unload their Euros, so win win.

Ok, meant go to the ATM and get your Euro's at the airport. Depending on your bank, the exchange rate was current plus no fees. If you do that there you can take smaller amounts and not bring a lot back. We used our credit card for most transactions and our card had no fees, only difference was the exchange rate. Easy way to go.

AAA sellsEuros...at least back north they did. I would usually get enough here to last me a day or two overseas. Then I would go to a bank overseas and make a large withdrawal that would last me a week or so. That way I would pay fees once a week instead of every couple days. And I would just repeat it if I needed more. Better to pay two fees then a fee every day. And I agree… Never buy euros or exchange currency in airport.
