This is a very good description of what people living with domestic violence go through. The ups and downs and the like. Worth a look if you or a friend is going through a similar situation.
I have been there but friends offered a way to get out right away once I described what was going on. And I quickly learned that the person in question had done this to another person as well. She had dropped out of law school because of it. I soldiered on and avoided this man as much as possible. No. I am not gay but was still in that situation. He had done this to people of either gender.
