Has anyone had experience using a local lawyer to break a contract for home remodeling?

The key as stated above who is not performing--if you put $$ up front--you're already beaten

Two points:

1. If you hire a lawyer, you will pay the lawyer, and you will probably not get any money from the contractor.

2. As has been said many times on this forum, never ever, not ever, pay money to a contractor for work that he has not performed to your satisfaction.

I used this attny to write a contract cancellation letter for me 2 years ago. Cost about 150.00, i did not have to apply any pressure to the contractor, i guess the letter did the trick, i got my money back.
