Understanding that many here make up their own handicap calculations and enter them, for those that play by the rules what are your thoughts on the World Handicap System that goes into effect next month?

I personally think the changes are excellent and don't have a problem with any of them.

Here is the reader's Digest version...of the major changes.

Coinciding with this release, the USGA and The R&A are launching a social media video campaign today to remind golfers of the eight key features of the new Rules of Handicapping and to reveal more details. These features include:

- Minimum number of scores to establish a Handicap Index and maximum Handicap Index of 54.0
- Basis of calculation of Handicap Index
- Acceptability of scores for handicap purposes
- Course Rating and Slope Rating
- Calculation of a Playing Handicap
- Maximum hole score for handicap purposes
- Adjustments for abnormal playing conditions
- Frequency of updating a Handicap Index

My question is do you believe, now that we need to handicap by hole, do you believe those in TV will actually do it or revert to their old way (which not many followed anyway) :)

Exactly the reason I refuse to play in tournaments in TV. Too many crooked handicaps!

Crooked handicaps are not only a problem in the villages. Have seen it for years. But this new method seems more complex.
