why don't the rec centers have practice nets to hit into to go along with all the other outdoor amenities? Nets and mats; half a dozen or so at each center. Likely less space and would get more use than the archery ranges or air gun ranges, basketball courts, etc.

Go to the championship courses. They have the practice nets.

The other things you mention all have a very high use! Really only makes sense to have golf practice areas at golf courses in my opinion.

The available nets are not in use more than in use.

(whenever i c them)

I use the nets all the time. Especially before I tee off on championship courses. And when I want to hit just a few balls to loosen up. I would like to see one net at each executive course.

Maybe because they are only at championship courses? I can say the same about the air gun and archery ranges in Fenney, yet we have them.

I could live with this. Much more convenient than having to go to a championship course to get a little swing time in.

Confusing response.

You wrote, "The available nets are not in use more than in use." I responded that the same could be said about the air gun and archery ranges - I hardly ever see anyone using them and yet we have them. Where is the confusion?

I'm explaining why nets are not at rec centers. The current supply is greater than the current demand.

Ranges???.......unrelated.

This could be a popular idea. My suggestion is to attend a meeting of the PWAC and ask them if they would consider seeking funding. It will require money, and therefore will need to be in the budget.

Great idea for the executive courses.

I suspect that with the play Exec's get the wait would be considerable plus there isn't much area available to place them.

That makes sense to me those of us who play executive courses don't want to be stopping at two courses.

I’d like to see backboards on some of the tennis courts as well.

Would the nets at exec courses really make a difference to the golf experience??

I am very upset over the fact that TV does not provide me with limo service to and from the numerous practice ranges available to me ..... after all, I’m entitled to that service !!!!

Sometimes you can adlib. A good part of this year there was no practice putting green at Mallory since it was being reconstructed. So whenever I played Mallory I pass by Cane Garden on the way, I would stop and practice chipping and putting at Cane since they have greens for both. When I was done, I got in my cart and drove the ten minutes to Mallory. I would think with 12 championship courses, that while on the way to some executive you can slip in a championship course and use the nets or the driving range beforehand.

90% of golfers only practice their faults anyway!

Something to do while we wait our turn to play.
