I know almost nothing about Microwaves. Mine kicked out last week and I bought this one: Access Denied (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-1-7-cu-ft-over-the-range-microwave-with-sensor-cooking-white/5291526.p?skuId=5291526)

I ordered it online and then picked it up at store as it was not in stock.

I was going to DIY the replacement, but decided to look into using a handyman. I called Don Bass, 404-895-5801 based on a recommendation by Villages07 on the following thread. Did a great job, was very friendly and priced so that I was glad I did not DIY.

We bought a fairly pricey Whirlpool combination microwave/convection oven from Best Buy recently and had them do the installation. Because it was replacing a Whirlpool of nearly identical dimensions, the installation took them about five minutes. In retrospect, we should probably have gone with a cheaper, microwave-only model. While it's nice sometimes to have twin ovens, this one requires convention oven cooking to be done on the non-revolving rack and all the heat is blown in from the left side. That has left us with overcooked food on the left and undercooked food on the right. And even though it's obvious in hindsight, it kind of took us by surprise that it's not ideal to use the convection oven and then immediately use the microwave portion of it afterwards. That's because convection cooking leaves the entire oven HOT and can make it uncomfortable or inadvisable to use immediately afterwards. A plastic container that might handle a quick microwaving might not do so well being set on a wire rack or revolving tray that has been heated to 400 degrees or more.

Had my GE microwave go also. Home Depot made the replacement process surprisingly easy.

My GE microwave stopped working after 13 years, no heat, defrost, everything else works. Need to replace in bisque color. Any suggestions?

FWIW: Are your other appliances near the end of their life cycles? (If you are looking for bisque I am guessing your appliances are older.) Our white ones are fairly old and when each one dies I will replace it with a new stainless model. If you end up selling your place at some point you will be glad you upgraded to stainless, as that is what everyone wants nowadays. Just my two cents.

Good luck.

Probably going to have a difficult time finding bisque color in any appliance

Home Depot had the bisque last year but your choices are slim. They also installed. I think they are currently having President sales.
