For what sort of travel? Different agents specialize in different areas/types of travel.

We have had success with Nancy Roberson, AAA Travel, (352) 751-1888 ext 2223 for cruises and international travel. Domestic we usually do ourselves.

Do they still have travel agents? It's so easy to book everything yourself with computers and websites.

Don't need a travel agent if you have a computer. Best deals are not with travel agents anymore. Google Google Google

Not true. Travel agents get group pricing you don’t find directly trough companies online or through cruise/land vendors.

Try Karen Ondayko (dba Travel Bling). She’s a resident of The Villages and a highly professional travel agent. And contrary to another response, you MAY NOT get the best deals online.
If service is important to you - use a travel agent! Call Karen at 352-552-8066

You don't use a travel agent to get a better fare or more perks (although that might be the case). You use one because he or she is knowledgeable about travel. Also, if you are in a foreign country and you have a problem do you want to try calling that online discount agency or your local Costco travel center for assistance? How do you think that will work out for you? Most agents nowadays are home-based and will give you their cell number "just in case" ...
