I am traveling to Moldova later this summer and am looking for some first-hand information on language, customs, etc.

I had never heard of this country. Your question piqued my interest, so I now know much more about it. Not helpful to your question, but thanks, anyway.

Their official language is Romanian which if I remember is similar to Italian. You must have a special reason for going to Moldova. We were near it when we went on a cruise. They do have some wineries

Yes, I am going for a “missionary” trip - teaching the gospel of Mark to women there. So excited to be sharing God’s word. Traveling with a group.

Moldovans world famous, and favorite recipe is 'Missionary Pie!' :icon_wink:

I hope your group takes along adequate medical provisions. Might want to check with the state department on just what to expect at your destinations in the country. Conditions are quite primitive in most of the countryside. I know a Moldovan who immigrated to the US quite well, how her family in Moldova lives and so on. It would be helpful if someone in the group speaks Russian.
