Refinancing info

I can't find the posts that recommended certain financial institutions to get the best rates for mortgage refinancing. Any info much appreciated. Thanks.

Have to tried a Google search on 15 year fixed rate mortgages? The results should get you the current range, then a few calls to the local banks will get you their current rates. 6+ years ago we got a very good rate from Citizens First Wholesale Mortgage (now taken over by Citizens First Bank). Also, if this is similar to the requirements for a home equity loan, be prepared to supply LOTS of paperwork, I think I had to supply more for the HELOC than for the original mortgage.

We refinanced with VyStar Credit Union on 466A. Good rate and they pay the closing costs. Citizens wanted to charge us many thousand dollars in closing costs.
