When we made our purchase/down payment, we asked if there was such a service. Our realtor brought in the lady that handles those things and so, far she's been very helpful. She found a couple of realtors up here in VA that they deal with and had them contact us. The one we chose has a stager that is working with us to get ready for listing. We have also been contacted by two moving companies and there is one more that she gave us the number for whenever we get ready for them. Her name is Karen Madsen and her e-mail is karen.madsen@thevillages.com. We're still in the getting ready for listing stage. Hopefully, everything will continue to go fairly smoothly.

I go back more than 5 years, but I don't think much has changed.

Relocation gave me a couple/three agents to contact in my former city. I knew each firm's reputation, but had no clue as to an individual's qualifications. After my initial calls, I was very happy with Relocation's suggestions as individuals, having already accepted their firms.

Were I to do it again, I would definitely use Relocation, not only for the real estate guidance but for everything else they did for me.

Last December our TV real estate agent recommended that we use the relocation service. We signed up then. We had intended to get our house in RI ready for listing around March or April. When we returned we were "pestered" to call the two RI realtors in January. Both were excellent. We chose one and sold our house in 3 days! We are now permanent residents in TV waiting for our furniture to arrive in a week. Again using a moving company the relocation service recommended.

Their service is free and we are really glad we used them.

We used the relocation services recently and they were great ... they gave us two local realtor names in Atlanta area and since we already had another realtor in mind, they agreed to work with the realtor we really wanted to go with. We were very fortunate and sold our house in two months! The best part was getting the corporate discount with the movers and again, they gave us three companies to interview.

We looked into the relocation services however much of what was offered were things I did not need. It really depends on how comfortable you are with the moving process. I already had a local realtor and after moving several times I had the drill down. The only benefit for me was to save $400 on the moving services. My local realtor was going to lose much more than that in commission if she contracted with this relocation service so in lieu of using it she credited the $400 in our contract to replace what we were missing so it was a win/win.
