I have youtube.tv. Everything was fine, I love it, but all of a sudden the app won't open. I have it on another tv in the Florida room and it works fine. But on my big tv it won't. All of my other apps work except for youtube.tv Has anyone else had a similar problem??

Try deleting/removing the app and reinstalling it.

I have it on all 3 "Smart TV's" in the house. When it happens I unplug the the TV that it happens on for a minute and plug back in. Works every time. Hope this helps. It's rebooting the TV I think. :ho:

In addition to rebooting your TV you could also reboot your modem. If you are streaming TV it is wise to reboot your modem every 10 days or so to get maximum reception. To reboot your modem turn it off then unplug it and let it set for 3 to 5 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. This will take care of many issues in streaming.

Go to the Home Screen the pick Settings then System then scroll down to System update and select it and then follow the steps above and pick the next item on the System Menu called System Restart. Watch the little white light on the stick that plugs int the TV and when its solid your are good to go. If you get stuck I'll check back tomorrow to help out.
It is possible that there may be a little button on the side of the stick that plugs into the TV. If there is then you can just push and hold that button for 30 seconds and that will reset the TV but not update it. You can do this. Good luck.
Have your Sign in information ready as you will need it when the TV resets.

One thing I must have is the ability to record shows as it allows me to fast forward through the commercials. Does a device exist that allows me to record programs?

As a long timer technologist, streaming is like a small sewer pipe, every once in awhile, you have to flush the system as it gets clogged with all the lost bits and bytes, uneaten cookies, undeveloped pictures and deleted tweets

Youtube.tv has recording capabilities. It stores them in the "Cloud". There is no boxes etc.
