New TOTV member and soon to be TV resident

Hi everyone. I have followed TOTV for over a year as a lurker and found it to be a wonderful resource for understanding the ins and outs of living in The Villages.

My wife and I are about a month away from closing on our new Iris being built on Fringe Tree Trail in Buttonwood. By the way, special thanks to Ed and Mary Edwards for regularly sending us pictures so we can enjoy watching the build from afar. They are one of the wonderful resources that I found here.

Today Helene 2008 and I met a woman from Long Island, NY and are hoping she looks here for us. So sorry we didn't ask her name or properly introduce ourselves. We will blame the heat! All we know is that she lives in Polo Ridge and we met her in:pepper2: Dollar Tree!

Hang in there Darla. We did two trips before taking the big leap to build.

One of the things that helped us decide was talking to The Villages rental management folks. The thought of having the ability to generate rental income helped us feel like we had options if needed. I think that a lot of people build before they're ready to move and rent the new house until the old house sells or they retire.

Good luck with old and maybe new house.
