Great Blue Heron chicks

Have been watching a pair of Great Blue Herons sitting on eggs. Finally today two chicks showed up.

Chicks? They look like big birds to me, but I’ve never seen them before....and beautiful, Bird-of-Paradise colors.

Those are More than a couple weeks old,The first pic was taken 3-24-18 and the second on 3-17-18 at two days hatched..
