Survey on a specific question regarding the TOTV format.

When you are reading a thread, currently the original topic post #1 appears on each subsequent page. The reason is that a user doing a google search will find the answer to their topic and enter the thread not on page #1. So by having the original post appear at the top of each page the user can see what the original topic/question posted was without having to go to page #1.

Survey below is to know if this is preferred or if the preference is to only have the original question/topic appear on page 1 post #1.

My opinion only, but I've always felt that a poll where people can't see how you voted...is much more accurate (and fruitful). :ho:

I have never seen the original post anywhere other than the top of page 1, unless embedded in a quote by someone responding to it. It works fine that way.

I never minded it the original way; never thought about it. I don't use the new forum as yet, but I think having post 1 on each page might be helpful. Sometimes people want to remind others of what OP said, etc.

I agree. Recently there have been threads started with long posts (which is fine of course). The problem is with the new view order, one has to scroll past it every time they open thread just to see newer postings.

Is it the end of the world? Of course not, but is a pain...

Hello Admins. Is the work for this thread already done?

If it is, then it is not what I was thinking was going to happen. I view TOTV in such a way that the newest post is "on top", or it used to be. The newest post used to have the highest post number.

Now the threads first post is on top of the thread, but the post number makes it look like it is new and it must be scrolled past to see actual new posts. I think post #1 should stay post #1.

I personally do not like this. I could well be on my own with that opinion of course and it is hardly the end of the world.

I was just hoping the work had not been done yet?
