I think almost every villa section I have been in has some 2 car garages. When you drive through a section, count the horizontal garage door panels. If it has 8 panels across, it is a 2 car garage.

Owning a CYV with a 2 car garage it is something that I have noticed driving around the various areas. It is my observation that once they moved south of 466A (including Haciendas at Mission Hills) CYV construction changed (for the better) with greater floor plan variety (including stretching the homes), 2 car garages became common place, and colors and facades became varied like the designer homes.

The only villas with two car garages are south of 466A, however some north of 466A have added a golf cart garage if they have a corner lot. The other exceptions are the newer villas up on 42. Mission Hills also has some 2 car garages.

Every CYV in Villas Terra Grande in Palo Alto North of Rt 466 has a 2 car garage and some two (2) story units.

There are a number of new Villas with two car garages south of Rt. 44 and a few were built north of Rt. 44. They seem to sell in the $200,000 - $260,000 range and perhaps a bit more depending on location and upgrades.

We live in Mission Hills and have a two car garage, some do and most do not. Many people have added a golf cart garage if they have room. Wish we could do that.

I'm in Southern Star Villas on St. Charles a 1/2 mile north of 466A. Out of the 80 villas in our community I haven't seen any 2 car garages. It's usually the places that have the enhanced veneer, such as Haciendas of Mission Hills, Alden bungalows, Atrium Dells, and most of those built below 44. I can't complain, my 2 BR masonry CYV was $157K brand new in 2011 and last year my appraisal was $250K.

VerY few CYV north of 466A have 2 CG. No PV do. About half in Fenney have 2 CG but when you get to DeSoto it goes up and then all from McClure and Marsh Bend have 2 CG

We just sold a villa in Dunedin with a 2 car garage and an added golf cart garage. Moved to villa in Monarch Grove with a 3 car garage. Most of our neighborhood has 2 car garages and several with 2 car + golf cart

We just listed our villa for sale, only lived in part time for 6 months, all warranties and it has a 2 car garage and a golf car garage. Alicia Mullen has the listing 352-636-9836. It’s in Monarch Grove, in Blake Villas.

There are numerous comments that state "very few villas north of 466 or 466a have 2 car garages". This is false. We have owned 2 CYV's now in the Lopez area. Both of the villages we have been in have between 10%-15% 2 car garages.

The new villages - Phillips and Soulliere - have a large number of 2 car garages than the older villages.

Having said that, you will find very few CYV's in the north end with 2 car garages that are for sale. When they go up, they get sold fairly quickly. I looked for a long time for my 2nd home before purchasing a new home in Phillips (I got the last 2 car CYV there)!

I have a Patio Villa in DeSoto. The model is a TOPAZ. This model has a 2 car garage.
The only problem with this model is it does NOT have a designated dinning area. The extra garage space has taken that space up from the square footage. I have arranged my furniture to accommodate a small table w/chairs and added a hanging
light fixture over the table. This works well for me.

Village of Rio Grande De Laguna and De Laguna West all 100 units have 2 car garages and 75 percent of those are on the Hacienda golf course! Built in the 90s !!!!!

Yes, I live in one - in McClure. I don't think they build CYV's with less than 2 car garages anymore (patios do have smaller garages). My entire neighborhood has at least a 2 car garage and a few have golf cart garages as well. I've even seen a few in other parts of the southern area that have 3 car garages. Not only are they 2 car garages, many of them are very spacious. I have room for both our cars, our golf cart, 2 bikes, a very large tool chest, and plenty of other things typically found in a garage. When we moved here 2 years ago, we liked everything about the CYV's but the 1.5 car garage was a deal breaker for me. So we bought a Veranda with 2 car garage and golf cart garage. Even with all the stuff and lack of golf cart garage, we both have more room to open our driver doors on our cars to get in and out than we did in our previous garage. Many of the floor plans, now, also feel and look more like a regular home than a traditional villa once you get inside.
