Couldn't find it with Google. Is there anyone that repairs these things. Can't believe you have to throw it out and buy new like Dan's Fans suggested.
Thanks

In my opinion, if it is the standard builder grade fan, it really isn't worth paying someone to repair it.

Ditto for any builders line anything-fans, disposals, etc--basic junk

They're absolutely disposable. I threw away multiple, brand new fans when I moved into my house.

Did the same dumped the fan in the MBR,LR, and both fans in the lanai--they did not move enough air, were ugly, and did not have any remotes--did not want to get out bed , or a comfy position to adjust speed or lighting

Go out on recycle day pick up, and collect some off the street. See them on the curb all the the time, people replace them of more attractive looking ones.

The hunter fan might not broken--it could something as simple as a switch on the fan or the wall switch--hunter fans have a lifetime warranty on the motor

I have repaired several, if the fan works on 1 or more speeds but not on others, the capacitor is typically bad, if it does not work at all, probably the switch. Both of these are replaceable without taking the fan down (BE SURE THE BREAKER IS OFF). These parts are typically available at Lowe's or Home Depot, the cap is under $10, the switch is under $5.

Replace it with a Hunter original. Kind of pricey, but it will last forever. The bearings are submerged in an oil reservoir and will never wear out.

I was just at Lowe's they had the switches, NO capacitors, as I recall I had to order these online.

If you like modern-ish designs, I have installed this fan in three homes in the last several years and I just love it. Moves air well, is quiet, has a decent light (which many do not nowadays). Well worth the price:
