Do a little research. The pools are one of the safest places to be right now. From the CDC:
"According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”"
This doesn't cover if someone sneezes directly on you, or if you touch surfaces that have residual traces of coronavirus... however, as long as the surfaces get splashed with pool water regularly, it will inactivate the virus.
To be clear - it is relatively safe IN the pool... but not if you're sitting on the deck with a big group of folks. And being in the pool is certainly far safer than being in a restaurant, or shopping for groceries.

OP didn’t say there was a problem with being in a pool. His complaint is their being close to one another and ignoring social distance rule.

Maybe Chatbrat can explain why it is necessary to bully people to make a point. When you refer to people as fat old ladies you have attacked their body, their age and their gender. I know some national leaders feel this is the way to talk and you are modeling their example. Shame on them. Shame on you.

Maybe he could have been less accurate in the descriptors he used to satisfy the PC crowd. Weight challenged, very high BMI, clinically obese for fat. Senior, geriatric or way up there in years for old. One thing is for sure, they were not behaving intelligently, using common sense or being prudent. In fact their behavior was quite uncaring and callous because if one or more of them had contracted the dreaded virus they would likely pass it onto others.

If one two three of the pools are overcrowded close them, not all of them.

No it's not going to wipe out our population but it might get 5% of us and that will be ugly. 5K dead in TV in the next few months would obviously be a big deal.
We had 200K cases worldwide yesterday, 225K today, if we continue with this exponential growth we're looking at over a million by next Thursday or Friday. 4 million in 2 weeks. By following the CDC recommendations we may be able to slow this down and not overwhelm our healthcare system.
I think it's going to rip through our population....but I hope I'm wrong.

I agree with ALL that you said Polar. Don't think expounding thoughts and insults on social media much makes people change. BUT maybe Chat needs to release some tension. Maybe next we should focus on grocery stores (NOT!!!) to keep the "social distancing" at bay...or the drug stores. As for the pools---until they were closed, I'd read they were fine due to the chlorine. NOT having used a pool in a very long time I can't speak to the ones using them. Maybe policing one's self rather than focusing on others so much...we can all get along together better.

Why can't everyone who is retired/doesn't have a job/doesn't have to be at work just stay the fluff home?
Good grief, is partying more important than putting one's life or others at risk?
The only way for this crisis to pass is to use common sense and precautionary measures. If selfish narcissists want to ignore everything and do as they please, then it will get a lot worse before it gets better.
Here are some ideas to pass the time AT HOME:
Read some books.
Do puzzles.
Catch up on movies and TV shows.
De-clutter.
Clean out a closet.
Listen to music.
Do something artistic or creative.
Learn a second language.
Join an on line support group.
Communicate with others via phone, email, etc.
Play games, computer or other.
Learn stuff. Take an online class.
Catch up on paperwork, filing.
Watch a sunset.
Take a walk.
Dance/exercise to a music or workout video.
Appreciate the small joys in life and remember there is always someone worse off than you.
If you can't go to a bar, stock up on booze or whatever else and self-medicate at home. You shouldn't be driving anyway.
Don't become a statistic. Stay safe and Healthy!
Good luck to us all!

Why were the adults who did not understand the 10 person on the deck item on the signs at the pools verbally warned prior to them closing all of the pools ? Adults will comply but "no warning" closure of the pools sends a bad message from the villages. The day before people at the pool were told by the sign poster person the rule was 50 people on the deck.
