This is a 10 acre dog park located just outside the Villages near the corner of CR101 and CR104. 7/8s of a mile north of the Southern Trace Shopping Center up (north) CR101 from Crispers/the Villages High School/CVS/etc.

The adjoining landowner-- or one of them-- has about 15 acres of fields of hay. The Doggie Doo Run Run (DDRR) owners are afraid that one of the various dog owners' cigarettes will light up the field. And they will be held responsible for the fire starter.
There are a lot of cigarette butts in some areas of DDRR.

Butts on the ground anywhere . . . one of my pet peeves.

I agree! People pick up biodegradable dog poop, yet many smokers litter.
So, what's this mean? If it comes from the butt of a dog, it must be picked up, but if it comes from the butt of a cigarette, it can lie there!?

p.s., Does Fumar smoke?

Is it a county park? If so then there might be an ordinance against smoking on park property.

A smoking ban at DDRR sounds like a good decision on the part of management, for fire prevention and insurance reasons. Difficult to enforce, though.
I'm sure there will be some confrontations when non-smokers tell smokers to butt out! :boxing2:

Doggie Doo Run Run is a privately owned dog park. You purchase a Membership for $25 a month for one dog, $30 for two or pay a daily rate of $3.00 a day. I am not sure what the daily rate is for two dogs.
There are two Villager only "public" dog parks in the Villages. Anyone with a Village I.D. can use these. Both are up near the northern edge of the Villages. One is near the golf cart bridge across US 441/27 (Paradise Lake Dog Park) while the other is near Nancy Lopez Golf Course (Mulberry Dog Park).
P.S. With a name like Fumar, I would expect he smokes. Probably cigars though???

Is the whole 10 acres fenced?

Doggie Doo Run Run does have about 10 acres of parcels for dogs but it is broken down into various sections.
There is a small agility area. Some pens for dogs held in day and overnight care. A small dog section (30 lbs and under), a large dog section, and a large 5 acre exercise field where any sized can go but you use at your risk. Or, more to the point, the risk of your dog.
One of the dog park owners has a home on the DDRR lot too.
