God Rest her soul.

Go to that paper we are not allowed to post on this site to read about her.

God bless her family as they deal with her loss. :( :( :( As well, THANK YOU TO HER FAMILY FOR BEING WILLING TO SHARE INFO THAT MIGHT MAKE PEOPLE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY THAT HAVE REFUSED!

Maybe now people will quit thinking "not me", "no issues" and comply with the required STAY HOME ORDERS!

Very sad. I have pet sat in that neighborhood on-and-off for several years. Not lately though.

A letter from her daughter Carol Lynch, my Mumma, was a tiny woman with a massive heart. Please see Kellie Lynch’s post about her. She was fierce, sensitive, brave, non-stop in her drive to serve and care for others, and ambitious in creating good times and wonderful memories with her friends and family. She took care of people every day of her life, even as a child. You might see her early morning setting up donuts and coffee or in the afternoon handing out golf ball buckets for the Lions Club. You could find her shopping for a friend or making a meal and delivering it, driving her younger friends to their doctor’s appointments. If you were ill she’d be there doing whatever she could to help you get better. If she saw something that needed doing, she did it. She loved to sing and dance, and music was part of every day of her life. She loved to move and every morning she “got out her weights and got down on the floor” to do her yoga and Pilates. She was a bold matriarch of my sister’s Kellie, Susan, Jean Jeannie, and I and a beloved Nana to our children Timothy, Ian, Angus, Tanner, Katie, Hilary, Grace, and Sophie. We will miss her so. My heart is broken to lose her so soon. She recently turned 84 and we all thought we’d have her til at least 94. Last night we spoke our love to her over and over as she left her body. We wished we could have been holding her physically as well as in our hearts. May her powerful faith carry her home.

Checked where this lady lived in the Villages and I pet sat for two cats and two dogs just a few hundred yards from there. Have not done this for a half year or so though.

So sorry to hear about this lovely lady. Folks remember she probably shopped in Southern Trace Publix and possibly Fresh Market. I believe this is just the beginning of hard times for Villages so heed the warnings and wear a mask outside if you exercise and STAY HOME.

The sign should read “NOT WELCOME” ... reminds me, hubby got tired of people (mostly young) coming to the house uninvited, put out a large biohazard sign on the door and “under quarantine, stay away”.

Yes, Italy said 98% of folks dying were over 80 years old. Basically, if you get Corona and you're over 80 you're gone... Stay Home.

In the Villages, nearly 80 percent of residents are over 65.

The community has other factors lined up against it. Its main hospital has been given a rare one-star rating by the federal government and has been criticized by residents for long emergency-room wait times. It sits in a part of the state that Harvard University researchers found would be ill-equipped to handle a large influx of coronavirus patients, based on the number of available hospital beds.

And the Villages has drawn national attention in recent weeks as a place where social gatherings continued as parts of the country began to shut down.

I just read the same article this morning. I found it in FaceBook, a friend posted for me (moving from CA to TV some day).

The article was released yesterday, April 4 and makes it sound like TV is NOT practicing Shelter in Place recommendations. From what I have gathered here on TOTV, I would say most of you are doing a good job at it but I do see others who are not taking the CoronaVirus seriously!

I copied and pasted this statement about the hospital there, “given a rare one-star rating by the federal government and has been criticized by residents for long emergency-room wait times.” If the virus does spread like “wildfire” that hospital will not be able to take adequate care of all sick.

Overall, it paints a very grim picture of what may happen in TV if people don’t start taking it seriously and stay indoors. Each time you leave the safety of your home, you increase the risk of coming in contact with the disease whether is an infected person or touch a surface that has the virus on it.

Please read the article, go to PBS: Public Broadcasting Service (http://www.pbs.org) and look for the article titled, “For Seniors in Florida Villages, CoronaVirus Dangers Stack up.” The article states that 5 Villagers have dies already.
