Everybody has their own feelings on agents, location , finance, etc, etc, etc. I would offer this one suggestion to perhaps save some future frustration or confusion. One of the most useful acts on the part of our agent was to mail us a copy of the deed restrictions for the district in which we were considering a purchase. Because my wife and I were both involved in condo management, and lived in a deed restricted community, we knew what to look for, and understand most of the pitfalls. In my opinion, you should have a copy of the restrictions for your district before the first nickel changes hands.
