We just moved in and are interested in a long term a/c service contract for maintainance and repair. I know about the big two, Munn's and Sun Cool.
Are there any other companies that provide the same service that I can call to check out what they offer or is it better to go with the company that installed the unit in the new house? Thanks for the info..

but we went with the long term warranty from Sun Kool, who installed our Trane unit. Have had several problems with the unit, but none with Sun Kool - have had work on garage unit and on outside condenser at no charge for labor or parts, except for one "blockage" on garage unit that was not convered by warranty. Latest (April) was an evaporator coil on the outside condenser. Would have been $400 plus per Sun Kool without the warranty.

For info: Our evaporator coil went out on our house AC last year here in Norcal. Was charged $85 for call out/check out and $65 for replacement coil (the service man had to order it and it took three days to get). Total $150 in expensive Bay Area - no additional charge to return and install.
