Heard that the UF Health testing site over at the polo fields is shutting down. On their site it says that it is due to limited supplies. Any clue on when they could possibly get needed resources again?

Should probably contact the hospital instead of TOTV - more likely to get something other than a rumor! :)

Is it true that “Federal Support Ends For Coronavirus Testing Sites As Pandemic Peak Nears”. According to an npr headline? I wonder what are the facts. Does anyone here know?

The people who are running the test site, University of Florida Medical....says that.
They are temporarily out of tests.

Just watched the Gov's update, Jacksonville, Miami Dade and Orlando are the only 3 sites he discussed, no mention of The Villages. We do have a lower statistical impact here so maybe diversion of resources is the driver but seems like unless the Feds or UF decide to reopen here I would assume we are done.

Did you read beyond the headline?

Thank you. I just did read the entire article. I was so livid that this liberal slanted article was sent to me by a hate monger that I was seeing red. I wanted an unbiased opinion from others as I hadn’t seen anything like this on other news channels. I’m not a news junkie so I do miss a lot of stuff. I try to take in different news channels.

On March 3, a guy said 1 million tests would be available later that week. On March 10, another guy said "more than 4 million more tests" would be available later that week. Then on March 21 another guy said 27 million more test kits would be available by the end of the month. And yet, there is still a shortage of tests on April 10. Call me "skeptical" about the number of tests shipped.

Perhaps the wheel should squeak a little louder in the direction of the governor to help his photo op site!!!

On March 7th one of those guys also said: “As of right now and yesterday anyone who wants a test, can get a test, and they are beautiful.” Must have been fake news. ;)

I'm sure that he literally meant "right now" and that moment passed as soon as the words left his lips. So, it really wasn't fake news. Just "old news." ;)

Millions of everthing will be available next week, or the week after, unless there is a delay!
