I have been reading about the new non-cash transaction policies in regard to golf. Perhaps I have not paid adequate attention, but I do not understand how this works in regard to executive courses and trail fees. I pay my trail fee annually. When I play on new courses south of hwy 44, I cannot drive my cart to these places so I pay a cash fee ($6 I believe) to rent one of the carts available at these 5 new courses. So what happens now??? If they don’t take cash, do I have to walk? Do they take credit cards? Do I have to pay the monthly advance trail fee, even though I‘ve already paid the annual one? Any help would be appreciated (or even jocular remarks).

They accept credit or debit cards only.
(though tips for the people who bring your bag to/from the rental cart can still be cash)

They take only credit or debit cards. If you pay a yearly trail fee that is not added to the cart fee. I believe it was $3 per person for a cart. And the courses are in great shape.

Executive courses are all cashless, and no debit or credit cards are accepted. If you want to rent a cart you need to go through a champ course that is nearby to pay.

Call the tee time office and ask them, they will give you the details. If you pan an annual fee there will be no additional charge. Not sure I would trust rental carts at any of the locations.....would probably need to take my own wipes before using.

...and when you get to the championship course to pay, they will accept either credit or debit card. No cash.

That would be fine as an added precaution, but the carts are sanitized before they go out and when they come back. All surfaces that can and are touched are wiped with disinfectant, including the seats, and even the sand bottles.

Credit cards are accepted at all executive courses south of CR44. Credit cards only, no cash at this time.

MY husband has been playing the Championship courses. He is a priority member. He said Lopez and Glenview are in great shape. The other courses except for Havana are very good.

This is incorrect south of 44. There are no Championship courses to go to for a cart rental.

No championship courses in Fenney.

We arrived at Loblolly yesterday for a 3:35 tee time and were told no cash.
And no explanation that we had to call and purchase a $20 trail fee card in advance...
Or walk. We went home.

Golf is - or should be - a walking game. Why not walk?

There are no championship courses south of 44. You can pay by credit card at the starter shack. Or call ahead of time and pay.

Not true at all. We just did this at Red Fox. You can rent a cart as before. You pay with a credit/debit card. If your trail fees are paid, there is just the $3/person charge.

They do take credit cards.

But they would prefer not to which is why they established the monthly credit system.

Thank you for asking your question. I work the courses south of 44 and can explain the new procedure. If you pay a yearly trail fee and are up to date, you have no issues at any course. Cart fees at the 5 courses is $3 per person and payable only by credit or debit card. You do not have to call and reserve a cart in advance, they are first come first serve and available next to the parking lot. You park, see the cart person to get your cart, load your clubs then go to the starter shack and pay. The hours are reduced and the past tee time is 4:00 pm. No guests allowed at this time. If you have not paid your trail fee you can still golf but you must walk, you can not be in a cart. If you do not have a pull cart, they are available the the courses. And the last additional item is there no no after hours golf allowed. The ambassadors will be on the courses after the last tee time to enforce this. These changes were put in place by the district with the health of the workers in mind. When you come to our courses please respect the distance line in front of all workers and advance ONLY when instructed to do so. We work so you can golf and want to stay healthy.

I have seven screws holding my left heel together. I've also had three back surgeries, a shoulder surgery and a knee surgery. I wouldn't make it to the third hole walking.

Some people do have valid reasons for taking a cart. Others, by choice, may be simply fat and lazy and in the habit of thinking that golf was meant to be played from a cart. Walking is a great opportunity to get some exercise. Plus, it makes the courses look "less crowded". I can understand why seeing 4 carts in a row will look like "social distancing" is not being observed. Replace those 4 carts with 4 walkers and few are likely to complain.

You forgot to mention and with a beer in the cup holder. That would be me.

Some people have valid reasons for making overly-generalized comments. Others, by choice, may simply be stupid and rude and in the habit of thinking that their opinions are valued by others.

Obviously, you’re probably just a executive course golfer, if even that.

You do not want people walking the championship courses; some holes have a good distance from the greens to the tee boxes which causes people to get behind and then everyone behind the walkers start getting backed up and PO’d.

But the only way to rent a cart is credit card, there is no system in place for monthly credit
