Owners of a dog; like myself, should always bring some poopy bags to pick up after them. If you respect and care about your neighborhood and The Villages, that is the considerate thing to do.

That my fellow posters is known as POOP ART lol which is caused by a leashed dog being pulled along so owner doesn’t loose step with THEIR walk!!!!
Used to happen in our store (pet store) all the time and those were the owners acting like it DIDN’T happen and NEVER used the oops stations which were all over the store

We have a SLOB DOG OWNER in Samuel Villas, Marsh Bend. Judging by the LARGE DOG size of the droppings and the different yards they appear in it seems no end is in sight. There is an ordinance and fines. Direct your security cameras in the direction
Where previous deposits were made and you will eventually get a picture, then call law enforcement.

I urge you to immediately bring this to the attention of the Morse family....things have gotten way, way out of control in TV

not that it makes a difference, but was the poop on the right side or on the left side of the street?

There are many thoughtless dog owners, or many stupid dog owners, in The Villages. Actually, they live everywhere. I have often spoken up when I see a dog owner not pick up after their dog. Sometimes, there is a valid reason, most often, they tell me what I can do with myself. There simply is no fix for stupid. Wish it was different.

With less people out more wild animals are moving back in. A bear was in a tree behind Laurel Manor the other day, it was light out. That’s a busy area for a bear to wander in. Don’t assume it always someone’s dog unless you saw them pooping. Coyote poop looks like dog poop people. Think before complaining and don’t assume. There are wild hogs out there too for all you it’s dark out there walkers, your flashlight isn’t going to save you from a hog ripping you up.

Gather it up and send it to the lab.It could’ve been a villager that just couldn’t wait till they got back home. Dog walkers, respect the lawns of others.

I always carry a few bags just to do that when walking our 2 small dogs.

Our rear cameras are positioned to catch anyone coming up to the back entryway. I repositioned one last night to catch the back yard up to the sidewalk because some filthy pig has started letting their big dog use my back yard without picking it up.

His owner will be caught.....

Some people with dogs think their dogs can go unto anyone lawn to do it's business. When I moved here I didn't know it was DOGIE WORLD. Think signs on lawn saying keep dogs off are showing up more and more. To bad those with dogs fail to do as they ask and some signs even say please. Just more people who fail to do what is asked.

And some people generalize. Majority of dog owners are NOT inconsiderate or you would see dog shyt everywhere. As long as villages allows 2 per per household (nobody monitoring) if will probably get worse. Villages full of rule breakers IMO most villagers are inconsiderate. But that outlandish opinion like you’re.

IMO when stacked I like sardines, only one pet allowed. Or no pets. But that’s not the case is it. Get use to it or get gone.

I agree there are many and some that shouldn’t have pets. but the are many many more who do the right thing. If not you would see dog shyt everywhere.

Your sample of the "majority of dog owners" is most likely limited to the world directly around your residence. It really is a dumb thing to say without some real proof. As part of your sample you would be totally wrong about myself and the many other dog owners that I see every day. Anyway if you want to say foolish stuff like that come back with some real numbers next time. :ho: :boxing2: "Survey says"......

I see at least five off-leash episodes a day along the path from Belle Meade to Legacy Lane. Some are chasing tennis balls thrown from some hand-held device, some are trotting along side golf carts, and some are just running around looking for legs to hump.

I think most pet owners do pick up after their dogs, can't do anything about those who are inconsiderate about this. However, unless you see it in action, nothing to do but shake your head.
