We're seasonal residents (snowbirds) and I generally like to play the evening wave when the rates change in May. Does anyone have any information on the availability of the evening wave if the courses continue to close at 4:00pm?

For the moment, until things return to normal, there are no waves. All championship courses are running straight tee times with only 2 of the 3 nines open. The last tee time is 4PM, nothing after that. What they do when the virus threat is over, I don't know.

Starting Wednesday, April 8, all Championship and Executive Golf Courses will close at 4:00pm following the last tee time. No tee times will be available after 4:00pm on any Championship or Executive golf courses. This means, anyone wishing to play golf must have a tee time prior to 4:00pm on any Championship or Executive course.

Anyone found on a Championship or Executive golf course who did not have a tee time prior to 4:00pm will be asked to leave the course. As usual, all golf courses are for golfing traffic only.

Apparently early morning golf is still an essential business, while evening golf is non-essential. Go figure? Cant wait for things to get back to whatever the new normal will eventually be?

There’s are some us who are lucky enough to live in The Villages that still work. Thank you for taking golf away from me and the others who can only play in the evening, it’s greatly appreciated.

They should be following the rate schedule that OBH and Tierra are using. Tee times before noon are the first wave, between noon and 3PM are the second wave and times after 3PM are third wave.

Until May 1st, rates after 2PM are supposed to be at a 9-hole rate up to 18 holes played.

Probably more productive if you share that suggestion with golf course management than posting it here

I think that it's safe to say that you can wave this goodbye until things straighten out

Too bad the barber shops are all closed, the guy that was cutting my hair seemed to know everything

Please leave all course is shut down by five or 530 so as walkers can go ahead and walk the course once it’s closed. I hear courses up north are starting to open up now.You could be back in time for the May flowers!

The great people that work for TV need a break also try thinking of someone else for a change Anyway isn’t it time for snow birds to fly north ?

On championship courses, if you make tee time after 2:00 and pay for 9 you can play 18. I heard only until end of April. Good deal.

I am not sure why playing after hours now is any different than before. Is it more risky to play after 4:00? Is it less risky to make a tee time and be paired up with strangers who may not follow guidelines?

Tee times at 4pm will finish playing 18 somewhere between 8-8:30, hopefully, thus where do you believe you would be able to play if all courses are still full. Remember only 18 open on every championship course.

Third wave started in May last year and we didn't have a virus to contend with at that time.

I see people golfing all the time on the golf course behind us, I really don’t care, they don’t pay attention to the 4pm closing

You should care, because they are going to screw it up for everybody.

Once again, it's NOT a 4PM CLOSING. Last tee time is 4PM. There will be golfers on execs until 5:45-6:00 and on champs until dark

I heard they made all the changes at the golf courses because they couldn't get the staffing they needed. Employees quit. Could be.

Yes, there were a lot of people that were given the option, without repercussions, to stay or take time off,not quit, till this crap blows over.
