Where do Villagers get those concrete dalmation statues that are positioned by fire hydrants? I want one but I have no idea how to get one.

:welcome:

Before spending any money better check your deed restrictions. In most areas they likely would not be permitted. Beware of the "2 mysterious ladies on a golf cart with the clipboard" paying you a visit in the middle of the night. :D

Home | Barberville Yard Art Emporium (http://www.barbervilleroadside.com/)

This is an interesting place located a little over an hour east of The Villages. Call first after checking deed restrictions.

:) Jarmon's Ornamental Concrete - Home (https://www.jarmonsornamentalconcrete.com/home/)

Straight up 301 and there is also another place just a little south on 441 before the car dealers in Leesburg but they didn't have them last time I looked. :ho:

Florida Fountain (http://www.floridafountainandstatuary.com/)

Highway 441, Leesburg, just past the Harley-Davidson dealership.

The last time I was there, the owner told me that they also do custom painting on any statue of your choice.

National Fire Protection Association standard is NO OBJECTS OR OBSTRUCTIONS within 36 inches of fire hydrants.

In my former jurisdiction we issued one warning letter then the item was removed as hydrants are in the three foot utility offset.

How about a Dalmatian lawn sprinkler instead? Those Dalmatians love to piddle in every puddle. If you put it in the garage after it does its business on your lawn, no problem with the restrictions.

Depending on where you live in the Villages they may not be allowed. Check your deed restrictions.

Just don’t let it sprinkle in your neighbors yard! :a040:

3’ is close enough. Put a small patio stone under them and it’s easier to trim around them. I used to put a different hat on mine for various holidays and people would laugh and sometimes stop by to say how much they enjoyed it. Gone though...someone must have really liked it.
